You know about what I eat, but I realized that I have not told you all much about who I am! So without further ado, this is the Girl behind PaleoRunnerGirl:
Pardon the equestrian garb. I was born and raised outside of Louisville, Kentucky. I adore horses and I miss the pastures of my youth. I am always happy to return to the South whenever I can. For the time being, I live in Bethlehem, PA with my husband, Chase.
Chase and I have been married for four years. We met in college and married after graduation. I always swore I would never get married young--ooops!
Chase is finishing medical school and studying to be a Pediatric neurologist. He is also in the Naval medical corp.
Strangely enough, I was never one of those girls who swooned over "a man in uniform." Don't get me wrong, he looks quite dashing in his Summer Whites and Dressed Blues. However, what makes me happy is that he is passionate about the Navy and he loves medicine. It is a win-win in my book!
When I am not cooking Paleo food, I teach American Literature. I was lucky enough to get hired by a university with an awesome online degree program, so I can teach from anywhere and everywhere. Since I have no idea where we will be located in 10 months, I LOVE having this degree of flexibility.
My favorite book is either:
Middlemarch by George Eliot
Source
or
Nathanial Hawthorne's The Scarlet Letter
Source
But, I also love a good dose of chick-lit. Don't even get me started on Emily Giffin.
Source
I have read every single one in less than 3 days. They are literary heroine. I don't even drink alcohol so the drug analogy is purely imaginative, but no less valid. I think the purple one is my favorite. With Giffin, I just refer to the books by color. It is far easier that way. :)
What is your favorite book? I always have my "academic" list and my "guilty pleasure" list.
Awww, you and the husband are so cute together! Nothing wrong with marrying young when you find the person who makes your world a better place.... I did it too, kind of young I guess. Is 23 young? Hmmm...
ReplyDeleteI love to read! It is usually some sort of article on health and wellness or schema and classroom management. HA! (I'm a teacher...)
Currently reading Something Borrowed! ....Just jumped on the Emily Giffin bandwagon, LOVING IT! :)
Thanks! Yay for fellow young brides! You are SO correct---when you have found the right person there is no "right" age! Also, I love that you are on the Giffin train! I cannot wait to see what you think of Something Borrowed. Honestly, once you read one, you will have to read all of the others...get excited!
